Oris Watches

The Oris brand was founded in 1904 by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian in the Swiss town of Hölstein, where he is based today. The brand gradually grew to one of the largest employers in the region and in 1925 introduced its first wristwatch. Other company expansions and milestones followed, such as the automatic watch in 1952 or the first chronometer in 1967. In the 1970s, the company survived the so-called "Quartz crisis" and since the 1980s has been fully dedicated to producing quality mechanical watches is a chronograph, or lunar phase.
