This unique limited edition, supporting the rescue of the critically endangered finless porpoise, was produced in only 1249 pieces for the whole world.

The case of the Oris Aquis Date 43.5mm Yangtze Jiangtun Limited Edition 0173377894197-Set is made of stainless steel, as is its bracelet. Inside, the Oris 733 Swiss mechanical movement (based on the Sellita SW200-1) with automatic winding works reliably. This movement has 26 stone fits inside it and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour (4 Hz). A handy date indicator is located at position 6. A unidirectional rotating ceramic diving lunette is used to measure time periods.

The perfectly clear dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal that is maximally scratch-resistant. The dial is made of blue-green mother-of-pearl, a material chosen for its ability to capture and reflect light like the surface of the Yangtze River. The dial also features a pattern inspired by the echo of the high-frequency, narrow-band ultrasonic waves that the finless porpoise uses to communicate and navigate the murky waters of the river. An internal anti-reflective layer provides clarity in bright light. In darkness and low light conditions, the Superluminova luminescence on the hands and indices is of great use. The water resistance of this watch is 300 m ( 30 ATM), so it can handle contact with water, such as diving to about 30 meters. The water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown.

This limited edition was created in collaboration with the Changjiang Conservation Foundation. The organization is dedicated to saving the critically endangered finless porpoise. This species of freshwater toothed cetacean lives only in the Yangtze River, the third longest river in the world and the longest in China. According to the 2022 survey, there are only 1,249 individuals left in the world, which is why this limited edition has just 1,249 specimens.
