The Swiss Oris Aquis Date New York Harbor Limited Edition II 43,5 mm 01 733 7789 4187-Set impresses with its specific, highly attractive "diver" design and excellent workmanship. This model serves perfectly not only underwater, but also in everyday wear. This model refers to Oris' collaboration with the Billion Oyster Project and was produced in a limited edition of only 2000 pieces for the whole world.
The case of the Oris Aquis Date New York Harbor Limited Edition II 43.5 mm 0177177914051-0762001 is made of stainless steel and is completed with a rubber strap. Also included is an extra steel bracelet and a tool to replace it. Inside its interior, the Oris 733 Swiss mechanical movement (based on the Sellita SW200-1) with automatic winding works reliably. This movement has 26 stone settings and operates at a frequency of 28,800 semi-rhythms per hour (4 Hz). The movement's operation can be observed thanks to a transparent mineral glass dial. A handy date indicator is located at position 6. A unidirectional rotatable diving lunette is used to measure time periods.
The perfectly clear dial with oyster shell effect is protected by an arched sapphire crystal that is maximally scratch-resistant. An internal anti-reflective coating ensures legibility in sharp light. In darkness and low light conditions, the Superluminova luminescence on the hands and indexes is of great service. The water resistance of this watch is 300 m ( 30 ATM), so it can handle contact with water, such as diving to about 30 meters. The water resistance is supported by a screw-down crown.
The Billion Oyster Project aims to restore the population of one billion oysters in New York Harbor by 2035. The project brings together local communities and schools to create field sites as restoration sites where oysters are planted. Oyster reefs provide habitat for hundreds of species of animals, help clean the water, and help protect the city from storm damage - mitigating the impact of large waves, reducing flooding, and preventing erosion along the coast. Each oyster can filter up to 200 litres of water a day! Oris has been working with the Billion Oyster Project since 2022.

The Oris brand was founded in 1904 by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian in the Swiss town of Hölstein, where he is based today.
