Inside its interior, the Oris Calibre 473 Swiss mechanical movement with manual winding works reliably, which was developed and manufactured by Oris - so it is an in-house manufacture movement. This beautifully ornate movement has 24 stone settings, runs at 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour (4 Hz) and can be observed thanks to the transparent sapphire crystal dial, where the power reserve indicator also stands out. The greatest advantage of the Oris Calibre 473 is its high power reserve of 120 hours, or 5 days. This is achieved thanks to the two feather springs with extended lips. At the same time, high accuracy is ensured, namely -3/+5 seconds per day, which are better values than those of certified chronometers. This movement also incorporates 30 new antimagnetic parts, resulting in greater resistance to magnetic fields and compliance with ISO 764. This movement also has a recommended maintenance interval of 10 years (the manufacturer also provides a 10-year warranty when registered on "MyOris"), setting a new standard for the maintenance interval of mechanical movements by the Oris brand. The Calibre 473 differs from its base (the Oris Calibre 400) by featuring an off-centre seconds hand, a date display in the form of a fourth hand (called Pointer Date), a purely manual winding and a power reserve indicator on the back of the watch. The Calibre 473 is Oris' tenth in-house movement and the first in the 400 series with manual winding.

The perfectly clear dial, rendered in retro pilot style, is protected by an arched sapphire crystal that is maximally scratch-resistant. An internal anti-reflective coating ensures legibility in sharp light. In darkness and low light conditions, the Superluminova luminescence on the hands and indices is at your service. The water resistance of this watch is 50 m ( 5 ATM), so it can also handle contact with water, such as a shower or rain.
