Certina is a well-known Swiss brand operating on the market since 1888. Certina watch technologies include: DS concept, Powermatic 80, Precidrive and others. He has been investing a lot of money in the development of more accurate and durable watches since its inception. As a result, it has gained customers and fans around the world. Certina sponsors motor sports (Sauber F1, Rallye - limited edition dedicated to the WRC and the WRC World Championship) and has established many legends in its history: Muhammad Ali, Colin McRae, Ole Einar Bjørndalen, Mike Doohan and others. Certina currently continues to support classic cross-country skiing and, more recently, the racket sport padel.
An important part of Certina watches is DS Concept technology. "DS Concept" (Double Security) was first introduced in 1959 and has since been a guarantee of exceptional durability and reliability in every Certina watch. In 2025, DS Concept was improved to provide even better protection for selected models. The turtle shell symbolizes robustness and durability – qualities that all Certina watches possess without exception. It is therefore no surprise that the turtle shell has been the brand's distinctive symbol since the 1960s. To this day, the characteristic emblem can be found on almost all Certina watches and also in the brand's logo.
Since 2017, every Certina quartz watch has undergone a running accuracy check and is C.O.S.C. and a chronometer with a maximum deviation of + - 10 seconds per year and + - 0.07 seconds per day.
