The German Junghans Form Quarz Bauhaus Limited Edition 41/4580.44 from the Form series combines classic watchmaking with a modern look. Not only its timeless design makes it a great partner for every occasion. This model was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus art academy in Dessau. This unique piece celebrating this important anniversary was produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces for the whole world.
The Junghans Form Quarz Bauhaus Limited Edition 41/4580.44 watch has a case including bracelet made of stainless steel. It is equipped with a battery-powered J645.37 movement, which is based on the Swiss Ronda 6003.D variant. The date display is located at the 3 o'clock position. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is extremely scratch-resistant. The 39.3 mm case is made of stainless steel.
Water resistance is 50 metres (5ATM) - the watch can therefore withstand minor contact with water, which can be compared to washing hands or taking a shower.
This unique limited edition of 1,000 pieces was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus art academy in Dessau. This was in 1925 after the move from Weimar and the building was designed by the then director Walter Gropius. The dial of this model is inspired by the work of the Swiss expressionist painter, designer, teacher, writer and theorist Johannes Itten, whose work is associated with the Bauhaus style. Johannes Itten's work included colour theory and one of the results of his work is the so-called colour circle, consisting of three primary, three secondary and six tertiary colours. And it is these 12 colours that are found on the hour indexes of this exceptional watch.
