The German Junghans Form A Bauhaus Limited Edition 27/4533.44 from the Form series combines classic watchmaking with a modern look. Not only its timeless design makes it a great partner for every occasion. This model was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus art academy in Dessau. This unique piece celebrating this important anniversary was produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces for the whole world.
The Junghans Form A Bauhaus Limited Edition 27/4533.44 watch has a case including bracelet made of stainless steel with PVD finish. It is equipped with a mechanical movement J800.2 with automatic winding, which is based on the Swiss variant of the Sellita SW200-1. The power reserve is up to 38 hours. The date display is located at the 3 o'clock position.
The watch face is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is maximally scratch-resistant. Water resistance is 50 meters (5ATM) - so it can withstand minor contact with water, which can be compared to washing hands or taking a shower.
This unique limited edition of 1000 pieces was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus art academy in Dessau. This was in 1925 after the move from Weimar and the building was designed by the then director Walter Gropius. The dial of this model is inspired by the work of the Swiss expressionist painter, designer, teacher, writer and theorist Johannes Itten, whose work is associated with the Bauhaus style. Johannes Itten's work included colour theory and one of the results of his work is the so-called colour circle, consisting of three primary, three secondary and six tertiary colours. And it is these 12 colours that are found on the hour indexes of this exceptional watch.
