The Junkers JU52 Automatik 9.05.01.02 from the JU52 model series refers to the first large passenger aircraft made entirely of metal. Thanks to its excellent flight characteristics, safety and comfort, this aircraft has become a bestseller for Junkers. The watch dial features an original design reminiscent of corrugated metal, which made the JU52 extremely stable and visually unique.
The Junkers 9.05.01.02 has a case made of stainless steel, which houses a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7753 mechanical movement with 27 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 28800 semi-frequencies per hour, has a date display at the 4-5 o'clock position and also a stopwatch. The sub-dial at the 9 o'clock position belongs to the minute counter from the stopwatch, the large second hand also belongs to the stopwatch and at the 6 o'clock position we find the off-centre second hand. The watch comes with an elegant leather strap.
The glass of the Junkers 9.05.01.02 is sapphire and is therefore extremely scratch-resistant. The water resistance of this model is 100m (10 ATM), so it can handle even greater contact with water such as swimming. With its 42mm case diameter, it will fit most men's wrists. The Lug to Lug dimension ("height" of the watch including the feet) is 50 mm.
