The German Junghans Meister Kalender 27/4200.02 from the Meister series bears a legacy from the first half of the 20th century, as watches designed by the then designer Anton Ziegler were produced in a similar style between the 1930s and 1960s. Today, the watch returns to the range enhanced with modern technology!
The Junghans Meister Kalender 027/4200.00 is equipped with the J800.3 automatic movement, which is based on the Swiss ETA 2824 variant with the Dubois Depraz 9310 module. The manufacturer incorporates it into the watch in an Elaboré finish with increased shock protection (Incabloc), tuned maximum daily deviation to +/- 14 seconds, or the Junghans logo on the rotor. The power reserve is up to 38 hours. In terms of watchmaking functions, the movement offers a date and moon phase display, which is depicted in the sub-dial at 6 o'clock. At its top, we then find the day of the week and the current calendar month display. Both variants can be set to English or German.
The dial, which looks elegant thanks to its subtly crafted hands, isprotected by a convex sapphire crystal that is extremely scratch-resistant. The double-sided anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. The water resistance is 50 metres (5 ATM) - so they can withstand minor contact with water, which can be compared to washing your hands, for example.
This version has a day of the week display in German, if you are interested in a version with an English date wreath, choose the model 27/4200.03.
