The Citizen Promaster Bullhead Tsuno Chrono Racer 50th Anniversary Limited Edition AV0072-01X is another variant of the popular "Bull Head" model, this time in silver. The watch has a chronograph function, solar Eco-Drive charging and many other features. This version was produced in a limited edition of 3000 pieces for the whole world. This limited edition was produced to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Citizen Bullhead model.
The Citizen Promaster Cronograph Bullhead AV0072-01X has a rich history. The watch is inspired by the 8110A caliber chronographs that were produced by Citizen between 1972-1981. Due to its atypical stopwatch pushers on the top of the case, this model was nicknamed 'Bull Head'. For the time of the 1970s, the watch was packed with features such as the stopwatch function, which the current model also has. Unlike previous watches of the past, this one has the calibre E2100, which is specific for its high number of components, 294 in total.
A huge advantage of the watch is the Eco-Drive, which eliminates the need for regular battery changes - the watch's battery is recharged by light, and this particular model offers a power reserve of up to 8 months on a full charge. Other functions of the watch are linked to this system, such as overcharging protection or charge level indication (4 levels).
The sub-dial at position 3 is the seconds hand indicator, the sub-dial at position 6 is the counter for the hours (up to 12), the sub-dial at position 9 shows the state of charge of the watch and finally the sub-dial at position 12 is the counter for the minutes (0-60, after which one hour is added to the counter at position 6).
The case of the watch is made of stainless steel with a gold-coloured PVD finish, which enhances the solid feel of this piece. On the hand, this model holds thanks to the stylish leather strap. The distinctive dial, on which the gold elements and black sub-dials stand out in particular, is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring better legibility in direct sunlight. In addition to the above-mentioned functions, the watch has a date display, stopwatch, alarm and tachymeter.
With a water resistanceof 200 m, the watch will allow its owners to use it not only during showers and normal swimming, but also diving. Better legibility in lower light conditions is ensured by the luminescence applied to the indices and hands. The 44mm size makes this piece a larger watch, but its design makes it a great fit on most men's wrists.
