The Baume & Mercier Riviera 10660 is a men's version of the iconic sporty and elegant Riviera watch. The design does not deny its predecessor, first launched in 1973. Apart from the characteristic shape of the case, the most striking feature of the Riviera models is the dial - its subtle texture reminiscent of rippled water with reflections of the sun's rays. The models from the Riviera collection are instantly recognisable thanks to the 12-sided lunette with four screws, a reference to the design of the Riviera sports steel models first introduced by the brand in 1973. The watch's look expresses freedom, casual elegance and is the epitome of fine watchmaking. The Baume & Mercier Riviera M0A10660 has a slate grey dial with a typical texture, complemented by contrasting rose-gold hands and embossed indices at the hour positions. A fine line in the same colour scheme winds through the centre of the case, adding sparkle to the watch.
The watch is powered by a mechanical self-winding Sellita SW200 movement with a power reserve of around 38 hours. The movement, with a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, offers a winding crown, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking) and a date at the 3 o'clock position.
The unmistakable dial is protected by a high-scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is also anti-reflective, ensuring excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. Sapphire has also been used for the open caseback, through which the move of the mechanical movement can be observed.
The steel case of the watch is fitted with a titanium lunette with a sandblasted finish and is complemented by a grey rubber strap, finished with a butterfly clasp. The integrated strap promotes the sporty feel of the watch, and it is equipped with a quick-release system, making it easy to change without tools. Super-LumiNova luminescence on the hands and indices ensures better legibility in low-light conditions. The water resistance of this model is 100 m. The diameter of the case is 42 mm, so the watch fits perfectly on most men's wrists.
