Apart from the characteristic shape of the case, the most striking feature of the Riviera models is the dial - its subtle texture reminiscent of rippled water with reflections of the sun's rays. The models from the Riviera collection are instantly recognisable thanks to the 12-sided lunette with four screws, a reference to the design of the Riviera sports steel models first introduced by the brand in 1973. The Baume & Mercier Riviera M0A10620 has a blue dial with a typical structure, complemented by contrasting silver hands and embossed indices at the hour positions. The watch is powered by a mechanical self-winding Sellita SW200 movement with a power reserve of around 38 hours. The movement, with a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, offers a crown winding option, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking) and a date at the 3 o'clock position.
The unmistakable dial is protected by a high-scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is also anti-reflective, ensuring excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. Sapphire has also been used for the open caseback, through which the operation of the mechanical movement can be observed.
The steel case of the watch is complemented by a three-row steel bracelet finished with a butterfly clasp. The integrated bracelet promotes the sporty feel of the watch and is equipped with a quick-release system, making it easy to change without tools.
Super-LumiNova luminescence on the hands and indices ensures better legibility in low-light conditions. The water resistance of this model is 100 m. The diameter of the case is 42 mm, so the watch fits perfectly on most men's wrists.
