The Alpina AlpinerX Alive Horological Smartwatch AL-284LNN5TAQ1 combines classic watch design with smartwatch functions to form a link between modernity and classic. Its features and appearance make it a great choice for both sporting activities and everyday wear. The Alive series then brings innovations in the form of an AMOLED touchscreen display, an optical sensor for measuring heart rate on the wrist, or the ability to track your route using GPS.
The case, made of steel, houses the MMT-284 Swiss movement, which is capable of two-way communication with smartphones thanks to the MotionX® open platform, making it a synthesis of hi-tech innovation and traditional Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship. Useful functions, usable when paired with a phone via Bluetooth, include daily activity tracking, sleep monitoring with the ability to wake up at the most convenient time according to the sleep cycle, dual time, or notification of an incoming email or missed call.
This model also has an integrated GPS module for GPS route recording. All available functions can be controlled via the crown and side buttons, but now also via the AMOLED touch screen. There is also an optical sensor for heart rate measurement. This makes it possible to monitor parameters such as hydration, VO2 Max, or Cardio Fitness Index. The watch is also compatible with the Alpina chest strap designed to measure heart rate (can be purchased separately). The weather forecast function is also handy.
Compared to the previous version of AlpinerX, the watch is powered by a rechargeable battery, which has a reserve of up to 7 days on a full charge (depending on the frequency of use of functions such as GPS, etc.).
The AL-284LNN5TAQ1 comes with a practical silicone strap and fits perfectly on most men's wrists thanks to the 45mm case diameter. The water resistance of this watch is 100m, so it can easily handle swimming, for example. The clear dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is highly scratch resistant. There is also a two-way rotating steel lunette that can be used to measure time periods.
