The Kandy model was dedicated to the most famous Russian avant-gardist Vasily Kandinsky. He possessed an exceptional painterly intelligence and had an eye for colour and form. He attributed deeper meanings and associations to colours, for example describing blue as 'soft' and 'aromatic', while yellow was 'sharp' and 'pungent'. In addition, he assigned certain shapes to certain colours: for example, he imagined red as a square.
Shorokhov used these shapes and colours in his most recent work. The dials are square, as are the three-dimensional guilloches. On the back of the case are four round glasses in red, blue and yellow, the most important colours in avant-garde art. The modern square shape of the case was chosen for this purpose.
The corners are rounded and the sides are milled to fill the resulting depressions by heating with high-quality Italian enamel.In order to apply the enamel evenly around the perimeter of the case, the central part is made without feet. These are welded to the bottom of the case. The overall look is enhanced by a genuine alligator leather strap in red with an engraved solid stainless steel buckle.
Inside the watch, the Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding ETA 2892 (or SW300) works reliably. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an internal anti-reflective coating.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the colour of the strap. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
