In addition to the unusual Kandy watches with guilloche dials, the watchmaker Alexander Shorokhoff has produced two elegant models of this series in a classic style. Interpreting a watch in a square case as a classic and timeless beauty is actually contradictory. This is the idea behind this model and many other watches from Alexander Shorokhoff's Avantgarde collection: to interpret things in a new way, to create controversy, to provoke.
Alexander Shorokhov proves once again that he can combine the contrasts of classical and modern art into one harmonious whole. He remains true to his principles when it comes to the design of all the watches in the Avantgarde collection. As usual, the dials are adorned with the large numerals 20, 40 and 60. The surface of the smooth silver or black watch faces is first circularly finished before being covered with enamel. The result is a feeling of very bright shine.
The case of the Alexander Shorokhoff Kandy Classic AS.KD02-40S is in itself exceptional. First it is made without the feet - these are later welded to the back. In this way, silver or gold wires can be inserted into the grooves for the edges of the case. The watch face is also characterised by its special appearance. There are four small round glass elements made in three different avant-garde colours - red, yellow and blue.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the colour of the strap. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
