The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 T137.407.11.111.00 men's watch is part of the T-Classic collection. At first glance, the watch catches the eye with its unconventional, barrel-shaped case and bracelet design.

The Tissot T1374071111100 model is powered by the Powermatic 80.111 automatic movement, which boasts a power reserve of up to 80 hours—twice as long as is typical for automatic movements in this price range. It is fitted with 23 jewels, and its 21,600 vibrations per hour can be observed through the transparent case back. The movement is based on a variant of the ETA 2824. The balance spring of this movement is made of Nivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes and contributes to the watch’s improved accuracy. In addition to time-telling functions, it also features a date display, located at the 3 o’clock index. The hour and minute hands, as well as the hour markers, are coated with a luminescent material for easier time-reading in low light or darkness. 

Both the case and the bracelet are made of stainless steel. The simple and easy-to-read white mother-of-pearl dial is protected by sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which is highly scratch-resistant. Thanks to its water resistance up to 100 meters (10 ATM), you don’t need to take the watch off even when swimming or snorkeling. This makes it a great companion not only for everyday wear but also for sports both in the water and on land.

With the PRX model, Tissot has revived a design from the 1970s. It pays homage to the pioneering work of watch designer Gérald Genta. Genta was responsible for icons such as the Universal Genève Polerouter, the Audemars Piguet “Royal Oak,” the IWC Ingenieur, and the Patek Philippe “Nautilus.” The PRX designation itself stands for: “P” for Precise, “R” for Robust, and “X” represents the Roman numeral for ten and water resistance of 10 bar.
