The Robot Minor Josef Ressel Limited Edition is a limited run of 12 pieces from the Czech manufacturer Robot, paying tribute to one of the most significant Czech inventors, Josef Ressel. In 1827, he patented the ship’s propeller, and his vision fundamentally shaped the future of modern maritime transport. The watch seamlessly blends historical heritage with modern materials and a design inspired by the sea and movement.

The Robot Minor Josef Ressel model features a clean white dial with a subtle anchor motif, a nod to Ressel’s lifelong legacy. An unmissable detail is the propeller-shaped seconds hand located in the sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position—a symbol of the invention that changed the world.
The dial is complemented by two contrasting sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position and a 12-hour chronograph counter at the 6 o’clock position. The date is positioned in an unconventional spot at the 11 o’clock position and features an eye-catching skeletonized date ring. The design is complemented by a color-coordinated minute track and hand-finished, milled hands with a luminescent coating. The luminescent coating, which ensures better readability in low-light conditions, is also applied to the markers on the rotating bezel. 

The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with a double-sided anti-reflective coating that minimizes glare and highlights the purity of its design. Sapphire is also used for the transparent case back, allowing the wearer to observe the movement of the specially decorated mechanism, featuring a rotor adorned with a propeller blade motif. The case back also bears the name of this limited edition and the year of Ressel’s patent.

The watch is powered by a Swiss mechanicalLa Joux-Perret L100movement with a power reserve of up to 55 hours. The movement, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, offers winding via the crown, a hacking function to stop the seconds hand when setting the time,a date display, and a chronograph.

The 44-mm case is crafted from lightweight and exceptionally durable Grade 5 sandblasted titanium. Its deep blue finish evokes the depths of the sea and creates a striking contrast with the white dial. It is complemented by a white rubber strap with a pin buckle, which offers high durability, wearing comfort, and suitability for active everyday use. Water resistance to 100 m allows for carefree swimming and regular daily activities.
