A watch the size of a ring, a ring with a watch function—that’s exactly what the hot new Casio Ring Watch CRW-001JB-9ER J Balvin Collaboration is all about. A completely new style of digital watch—both practical and playful—made possible by a miniature module and advanced metalworking technology.

The Casio Ring Watch CRW-001JB-9ER was created in collaboration with the world-renowned Colombian musician J Balvin, who is one of today’s most successful Latin American artists. The design reflects Balvin’s signature style and preference for bold accessories. The brick-patterned dial creates a sense of depth, and tiny crystals add sparkle. The caseback features a flower motif, J Balvin’s signature. The ring comes in special packaging that repeats the brick pattern motif.

Creating an all-metal version of a Casio watch in the size of a ring with a complex shape is no easy task. To achieve this, Casio had to use a special metalworking method: injecting a mixture of fine metal powders and resin into a mold. Using metal injection molding (MIM), the case, back cover, and band are cast as a single piece. You’ll notice that the ring’s design faithfully reproduces the classic design found on the strap of Casio G-Shock watches. A special glass bonding technique ensures a durable seal for the watch, thereby achieving basic water resistance. The watch inside the ring, of course, allows for battery replacement.

The inner diameter of the ring is 20 mm and the circumference is 62.8 mm. The ring is therefore suitable for a finger size of 20.5 EU (22 JP, 10.5 US, U UK).

The package includes two spacers for size adjustment. Using these , the size can be adjusted to:
19.5 EU (19 JP, 9.5 US, T UK) (inner diameter 19 mm) 
18.2 EU (16 JP, 8 US, Q UK) (inner diameter 18 mm).

The miniaturized watch module is powered by a small button cell battery and housed in a case that can be controlled using three buttons on the sides. The result is a digital watch that fits on your finger.
Even at this small size, the watch is equipped with a 7-segment LCD display that shows the time,date, day of the week, dual time, stopwatch,alarm, 12/24-hour format, and even features LED display backlighting. The watch’s calendar is automatic (February has 28 days), so you don’t have to worry about adjusting it over time.
It also includes a handy feature that lights up the display when the alarm is activated.
