The Vostok Europe Space Race Automatic Line YN55-325A745S men's watch belongs to the Space Race model series. The USSR and the USA competed for supremacy in space flight. It began with the launch of an artificial satellite in 1957, continued with robotic space probes to the Moon, Venus and Mars, culminating in sending humans into Earth orbit and eventually to the Moon. The Apollo-Soyuz space mission of 1975 was a symbol of cooperation between the two sides and the end of the space race.
The case of the Vostok Europe Space Race Automatic Line YN55-325B746 is made of stainless steel with rose gold PVD finish. Inside is a Japanese S.Epson YN55 mechanical movement with automatic winding and manual winding options. The movement is set with 22 jewels and has a power reserve of 40 hours. At the 6 position we find a handy date display that shows not only the current day, but seven days in total. Interestingly, the date display is not classically rendered as a window, but thanks to the shape of the arc, it seems as if the watch is smiling at you.
The dial is protected by a mineral tempered K1 glass with an internal anti-reflective treatment. The hands are coated with Superluminova luminescent coating.
The 46 mm case diameter makes it an ideal choice for fans of larger watches. The water resistance of the Space Race Automatic Line YN55-325A745S is set at 20 ATM and is supported by a screw-down crown.
