The Orient Star RE-BW0008B M45 Classic Moon Phase 75th Anniversary Limited Edition watch celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Orient Star brand. It expands the line of models featuring unique dials and minimalist design, whose central theme is the graceful passage of time. This hand-wound model is part of the prestigious Orient Star M45 collection, which emphasizes subtlety, purity, and timeless design.

A striking feature of the watch is the dial, inspired by thepoetic image of the moon shining through the clouds of an autumn sky. It captures the serene and fleeting beauty of the passage of time. The dial is crafted at the Shinshu Watch Studio in Japan using specialized technologies. The effect of clouds and stars in the night sky was achieved through the multilayer application of metallic nanoparticles. The varying intensity and color gradation, combined with a transparent varnish on the surface, give the dial a striking depth.
The silver leaf-shaped hands—which combine polished and brushed finishes—and the multi-layered white Roman numerals at the hour markers create a desirable contrast with the dial’s surface. An interesting detail is the elongated minute hand, which extends nearly to the edge of the dial and follows the curve of the crystal.The mother-of-pearl moon in the moon phase indicator is also worthy of note.
The distinctive dial is protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring better readability in direct light.

The dials of the M45 F8 Classic Moon Phase series feature Orient Star’s iconic complications—the moon phase indicator and the power reserve indicator. In the case of the new RE-BW0008B model, both are elegantly integrated without distracting numeric scales, which enhances the sense of the smooth and tranquil passage of time. The watch is intentionally designed without a seconds hand, evoking a sense of deeper stillness and contemplation of each moment.

The case of the Orient RE-BW0008B00B watchis made of stainless steel. Inside, it houses the Orient F8A62 mechanical movement with a 70-hour power reserve and high accuracy of +15 to –5 seconds per day. The movement also features a hacking function—which stops the second hand when setting the time—and a power reserve indicator at the 12 o’clock position. This movement belongs to the new generation of in-house movements from Orient Star and guarantees high precision and reliability. The movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 half-vibrations per hour, can also be observed through the transparent case back. The case back is protected by a sapphire crystal, which reveals a distinctive feature of the new movement—the blue silicon escapement wheel and the movement’s decorative details.

The watch’s elegance is enhanced by the included black cordovan leather strap, which features a folding clasp. This luxurious natural material is known for its high durability, subtle sheen, and long lifespan. With a case diameter of 39.5 mm, the watch is an excellent choice to pair with a suit.
This model is water-resistant to 30 m, so the watch can easily withstand everyday contact with water, such as rain and hand washing.
