The Orient Star RE-AY0121A Classic Moon Phase Lake Tazawa Limited Edition watch offers an unusual but clean dial and elegant design that makes it a suitable accessory for a shirt or jacket.

The latest version of the Orient Star Moon Phase stays true to the original design from 2017, when the brand launched its first mechanical watch with a moonphase function as part of the classic collection, which quickly became the brand's flagship. This new, meticulously crafted design once again takes inspiration from nature, with the reflection of the moon on Lake Tazawa in Akita Prefecture as the template for the mother-of-pearl dial. The watch boasts the superb quality and meticulous craftsmanship that is synonymous with ORIENT STAR. Its distinctive look makes it a great choice for elegant men's watches.

The watch stands out for its level of craftsmanship, unmistakable design, lines and details of the case, bracelet and dial. The case of the Orient RE-AY0121A00B is made of stainless steel. Inside, we find the Orient F7M65 mechanical movement, which is equipped with an automatic winding and a power reserve of 50 hours. This movement also features a stopping of the second hand when setting the watch (called hacking) and an interesting complication is the winding reserve indicator at the 12 o'clock position. Many will be pleased with the moon phase date display brought out in the sub-dial at the 6 o'clock position. The operation of the movement, working at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies/hour, can be observed thanks to the transparent caseback. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal.

The unusual brown mother-of-pearl dial, reminiscent of Lake Tazawa in Akita Prefecture on a winter's night, stands out for its clarity, protected by a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating. In addition to the special dial, owners will also be pleased with the details in the form of the hands, applied numerals, signed crown, and the treatment of the case and the transitions between polished and brushed surfaces. The water resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain or, exceptionally, a shower. The case is complemented by a smooth brown cordovan leather strap, finished with a fold-over clasp. The 41 mm case diameter makes the watch suitable for most men's wrists.

Limited to just 180 pieces, the limited edition impresses with a mother-of-pearl dial that poetically depicts Lake Tazawa during a winter night. The watch is also part of the new Orient Star M45 collection inspired by the Pleiades star cluster, also known as "Subaru" in Japan.
