The Swiss Mido Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer M026.829.17.041.00 watch will win its owners especially with its precise workmanship and distinctive diver design. It is a great companion not only in the water, but also in everyday wear. This model is based on the iconic Mido Powerwind Diver 1000 diving watch from 1961.

The Mido M026.829.17.041.00 has a case made of 316L stainless steel, which is complemented by a rubber strap. An extra steel mesh bracelet is also included. Both the strap and the metal pull are equipped with a quick-release clasp, so they can be easily changed without tools. The Swiss mechanical movement Mido Caliber 80 (based on the ETA C07.661) with automatic winding ticks reliably in the case. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies per hour, has 25 jewels and, above all, an extended power reserve of 80 hours. Travellers will be served by the GMT function - that is, the second time zone indicator in the form of a fourth hand. Moreover, it is a so-called True GMT, where the GMT hand moves with the time setting and the adjustment of the main hour hand then takes place in leaps of one hour, while the home time on the GMT hand remains unchanged. At the 3 o'clock position we find a handy date indicator. The most interesting feature on the dial is the decompression scale, which is used to determine the decompression time when diving. The reversible lunette can be used to measure time periods and there are also world city markings.

The clear dial, dominated by the decompression scale, is protected by a sapphire crystal that guarantees maximum scratch resistance. The water resistance of this model is 200m (20 Bar), so it can easily handle water activities such as swimming or diving. The water resistance is supported by a screw-in crown.

This model has its origins in the iconic Mido Powerwind Diver 1000, dating back to 1961. It was a certified diver's model with a water resistance of 300m, a bi-directional rotating lunette and a distinctive decompression plate on the dial. A limited edition Mido Ocean Star Decompression Timer was then reissued in 2020, and all 1961 pieces were soon sold out. The current reissue of the Mido Ocean Star Decompression Worldtimer is an unlimited special edition and therefore offers more fans to try this interesting, specific and original design. All versions share a common case size - the 40.5mm diameter fits most men's wrists.
