The Robot Graphic Analog collection pays tribute to Czech graphic designer Jiří Rathouský, whose typography is strongly associated with wayfinding systems in buildings, housing estates, and Prague’s public transport — places where easy navigation and timekeeping play a crucial role.
The unique concept of the dial and hands was created by leading Czech typographer Radek Sidun, who drew inspiration from the design style of the 1970s. Although the Analog model uses classic hands, at first glance it playfully resembles the look of mechanical digital watches from before the advent of LED and quartz displays. It also clearly references flip clocks and information boards made by Elektročas/Pragotron, a company many associate with the iconic flipping panels seen in train stations, airports, and the Prague metro.
