The German Laco Hamburg GMT DIN 8330 watch catches the eye at first glance with its striking sandblasted case and its appearance, which is based on the appearance of aircraft instruments. It is a modern take on the pilot's watch, and Laco, as a manufacturer of quality pilot's watches with almost a century of history, continues the tradition of meeting the demanding timekeeping requirements of pilots with its introduction. The watches are certified to the strict DIN 8330 standard. Thanks to the GMT function, you can keep track of up to three time zones simultaneously on the watch.

The sandblasted steel case of the Laco Hamburg GMT DIN 8330 is complemented by a black water-resistant Nytech strap. It is powered by a mechanical movement with automatic winding Laco 330 (its base is the Sellita SW330-1 Top - tested in 5 positions, accuracy +/- 8 s/day) with a power reserve of around 50 hours. With a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, the movement offers the possibility of winding by crown, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking), dates at the 4 o'clock position and GMT, allowing the display of up to three time zones by means of a 24-hour hand and a rotating lunette. Many will enjoy the full screw-down caseback with an embossed airplane display. The water resistance of this watch is 200 m (20 ATM), backed by screw-down crowns. The diameter of the case is 43.5mm, so the watch will fit well on most men's wrists.

The classic hallmarks of the Laco Hamburg GMT DIN 8330 watch, inspired by aviation style, include distinctive and easy-to-read hands and indices at the hour positions, an easy-to-handle crown, higher water resistance and a screw-down case. The perfectly clear dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating and high scratch resistance. Luminescence on the hands, numerals and indices ensures better legibility in low light conditions. The case is fitted with a reversible lunette with ceramic insert. The watch case is made of 904L stainless steel, which is particularly resistant to corrosion, heat and salt water, and also has a higher hardness than conventional 316L stainless steel. This makes the case more resistant to mechanical stress and abrasion. The dark sandblasted surface prevents reflections in the cockpit. The Laco Nytech strap is made of high-tech Nytech material. The underside is made of leather, which is particularly comfortable on the wrist. Thanks to the special textile surface, the leather strap is also waterproof.

The watch comes in a special aluminium box with a "Remove before flight" keyring and certificate.

The DIN 8330 standard includes resistance to liquids typical of flight operations, compatibility with the cockpit environment, avoidance of reflections and glare, and impact resistance.
