The Laco Einsatzuhr Atacama.3.MB is an improved third generation of the German manufacturer's distinctive model, designed to withstand even the harshest conditions. Now even more durable, ergonomic and made with greater attention to detail. The development of the Atacama models is carried out in collaboration with the German army and special forces. Laco Atacama is primarily aimed at rescue forces, police, military and anyone who enjoys outdoor activities and needs to rely on their watch fully.

The third generation of the Atacama has undergone major modifications. Inspired by the quartz variant, it comes with a significantly lower conical case, now reaching a height of 12 mm, which, combined with the flexible feet, noticeably increases comfort on the wrist.
The characteristic crown element at 12 o'clock remains, but has been given a practical innovation: an orange indicator now shows whether the crown is securely screwed in.
The watch dial has also undergone minor changes. The bezel with the minute scale is now bevelled, improving legibility even from sharp angles and adding depth to the dial.

The Laco Einsatzuhr Atacama.3.MB from the Squad series features an unusual construction with a screw-down crown at the 12 o'clock position. This position does not hinder ease of use and ensures that despite the larger case size, the watch is comfortable on the wrist. The steel case of the watch is complemented by a steel bracelet, both with a black DLC finish. The watch is equipped with a unidirectional rotating countdown bezel, which was chosen to allow for easy time synchronisation. The black dial features excellent clarity and legibility, which is enhanced in low-light conditions by luminescence on the hands, numerals and indices. It is protected by a sapphire crystal. With a case size of 46 mm and a length (lug-to-lug) of 63 mm, the watch fits well on the wrist thanks to the sophisticated conical shape of the case and a height of just 12 mm. Many will be pleased to be able to observe the movement through the transparent screw-down dial fitted with a sapphire crystal. The water resistance of the model is 500 m (50 ATM) and its set of features makes it predestined for use in sports and in the water.

It is powered by a mechanical movement with Laco 200 automatic winding (based on the Sellita SW200-1 Elaboré - tested in 3 positions, accuracy +/- 14 s/day) with a power reserve of around 38 hours. With a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour, the machine offers the possibility of crown winding, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking) and a date display at the 6 o'clock position.
