The Laco Edition 98 Bicompax Chronograph is the fourth in a series of limited editions of the Mission 2025 project, which aims to celebrate the significant 100-year anniversary of the Laco brand, which will be completed in 2025. The limited editions in this series reflect and commemorate the important history and watchmaking artistry of the brand. Indeed, Laco is one of the five original manufacturers of World War II-era navigator watches. At first glance, the watch impresses with its typical pilot's design complemented by the stopwatch function, which is characterized by its cleanliness and excellent clarity, making it very popular not only among watch fans. The Laco Edition 98 represents 98 years of first-class watchmaking by the brand.

The timepiece is a tribute to the adventurers of the heavens and night fliers. They were not only created to tell the time, but also to always point the right way in the dark. For this reason, the watch is equipped with luminescent subdials. Not only the low number of limited edition pieces, but also the luminescent subdials at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions make this model unique.

The steel case of the Laco Edition 98 is complemented by a black calfskin strap with contrasting light stitching and distinctive rivets. It is powered by a Laco 510 mechanical self-winding movement (based on the Sellita SW510BH b Elaboré - tested in 3 positions, accuracy +/- 10 s/day) with a power reserve of around 62 hours. The machine, with a frequency of 28,800 half-motions per hour, offers a stop-seconds function when setting the time(hacking) and a stopwatch with which up to 30-minute intervals can be measured. Both sub-dials (the minutes counter at 3 o'clock and the seconds counter at 9 o'clock) are luminescent and create an interesting spectacle in the dark. Many will be pleased to be able to observe the operation of the decorated movement with blue screws through the transparent caseback fitted with a sapphire crystal. The water resistance of this watch is 100 m ( 10 ATM), so it can handle swimming. The case diameter is 43 mm, the length (lug-to-lug) is 51.5 mm, so the watch fits well on most men's wrists.

The classic hallmarks of the aviation-inspired Laco Edition 98 include the distinctive and easy-to-read thermal blue hands and indices at the hour positions, the distinctive diamond crown that is easy to operate even with gloves, the higher water resistance and the screw-down case. The perfectly clear dial is protected by a convex sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating and high scratch resistance. Excellent legibility in low-light conditions is ensured by luminescence located on the hands, numerals, indices and also the sub-dials.
