The Davosa Apnea Diver Automatic is a special edition sports automatic watch - a limited numbered edition dedicated to freediver Nick Linder. Designed primarily for diving, it is therefore characterized by its durable construction and excellent legibility.

The Davosa Apnea Diver Automatic 161.569.55 is a full-blooded diving watch with 200m resistance . The clear and perfectly legible dial is protected by a durable sapphire crystal and a unidirectional rotating ceramic lunette.

The watch dial is suitable for breathing exercises. The blue part of the dial is for inhalations, the white part is for holding the breath for 15 seconds and finally the red part for exhalations. After removing the rubber strap, the watch can be placed on a stand and thus have an unobstructed view during exercise. With the help of this watch, you can fully concentrate on your breathing exercises without having to count or use a stopwatch.

The robustness of the watch is further emphasized by the screw-down crown and back cap. The watch feels great on the wrist thanks to the rubber strap (a second red strap is included) and comes in a waterproof box. The movement is a classic, mechanical movement DAV 3021 (based on the ETA 2824 or Sellita SW 200) with a frequency of 4Hz and a winding reserve of 38h.

Unlike the positioning of the upper crown, the position of the right crown is purely functional. By gently unscrewing the crown, the watch can be released from the outer case. The watch can be removed and placed on a flat surface using the back ring (on which it rests).

This innovation makes the DAVOSA Apnea Diver much more than just a timekeeper - even on dry ground. In fact, it helps Nick Linder to practice his special breathing exercise (alternate nostril breathing) with the ability to track the time and progress of the workout. He also uses this function in his courses and lectures.

Breathing ring - coloured aid

The breathing ring consists of blue, white and red parts. It helps you to practice and follow the basic rules of alternate nostril breathing.

During the five-second blue phase you inhale, then hold your breath for 15 seconds in the white phase and exhale for 10 seconds in the red phase. Using this colour ring, the freediver concentrates fully on the important breathing exercise without having to count or use a stopwatch.

Freediving is all about seconds, which is why we have used the red colour for the second hand, which allows for an accurate seconds reading every time.
