The Citizen Skyhawk A-T Red Arrows Black Limited Edition JY8087-51E is a limited edition watch with a total of 9999 pieces produced. This watch is perfect for lovers of precise time, which is displayed by multi-frequency radio time control. This model is powered by solar energy (Eco-Drive), eliminating the need to replace the battery. This makes this piece particularly suitable for everyday wear.
The case, including the bracelet of the Citizen JY8087-51E watch, is made of stainless steel with a black and grey PVD finish (in this case it is IP technology). Inside this case works the in-house Citizen U680 movement, which offers absolutely accurate time thanks to the Radio-Controlled system, i.e. time synchronization by radio signal. Other functions can be relied on, such as battery indication, overcharge prevention, warning in case of insufficient charge by two-second jumps of the second hand, or switching to power saving mode. You can also make use of the stopwatch function, automatic calendar (showing day, month and year), time zones, daylight saving time, UTC, timer, 2x alarm, display illumination, energy saving mode 1 and 2, shock detection functions or, for example, the slide rule for simple slide rule calculations.
This model is powered by Eco-Drive technology, a light-charged battery with a runtime reserve of up to 6 months (up to 42 months in power-saving mode). This eliminates the need to replace the battery. The water resistance ofthis watch is200 m, so it can easily handle contact with water, such as swimming or diving. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal that provides maximum protection against scratches.
The back of the watch case features the emblem of the RED ARROW unit, otherwise known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, which is an aerobatic team of the British Air Force founded in 1964. The emblem depicts red arrows, which have a prominent place in British popular culture. These depict the aircraft in their diamond trademark formation of nine aircraft, with the motto Éclat, a French word meaning "brilliance" or "perfection".
