The Certina DS Super PH500M C037.407.18.050.00 is sure to impress with its retro style. A great novelty is the hairline made of antimagnetic material - NivachronTM. The water resistance of the watch is up to 500 m, which makes this diving model an ideal companion on every trip - even underwater.
The logo of the German diving association VDST is used on the watch face. This is a legacy of love for the underwater world, but also the result of a collaboration in the development of the watch by Swiss watchmakers together with passionate divers.
The watch is held on the wrist by a textile NATO strap. This is made by recycling plastic waste fished out of the oceans.
The historical predecessor and namesake of this watch had the best opportunity to prove its strengths; in 1969, four scientists wore this watch during their two-month research stay at the Tektite I underwater laboratory. All agreed that the watch was an extraordinary success!
The Certina C037.407.17.280.10 meets the ISO 6425 standard, which defines water resistance to 500 m.
The model has a black dial with strong SuperLuminova luminescence, and the movement is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. The watch is powered by an ETA Powermatic 80.611 movement with a winding power reserve of up to 80 hours. The flywheel of this movement is made of Nivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes and has an effect on the better accuracy of the watch. Of course, there is a unidirectional rotating diving lunette. This can only be rotated by gently pushing down, towards the case.
