The Certina PH100M C044.410.18.040.00 is a revival of a model from the 1960s. It represents a continuation of timeless watch design combined with the latest technology.
Part of the DS PH (PH = "Pression Hydrostatique") model series, the Certina C044.410.18.040.00 has a date display. The detailed dial is protected by a sapphire crystal that is highly scratch-resistant. The watch case is made of brushed, 316L stainless steel. The watch comes on a textile strap. Thanks to the diving lunette, this watch further accentuates its diving style. The water resistance of the watch is 100 m, making it suitable for swimming and diving. The hands and indices are equipped with a Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating, so you don't have to worry about the dial not being easy to read in poor visibility conditions.
This watch model references the vintage watches of the 1960s, bringing timeless design and performance into the present and future. During this period of the 20th century, Certina demonstrated the strength of its watches in a number of important, research projects and expeditions. The experience gained from these projects led the brand to develop new watches adapted to life under the sea. They combine an older, albeit timeless design, with the latest technologies such as the Powematic 80 calibre or the DS concept.
The watch is powered by the Swiss ETA F07.412 Precidrive battery-powered movement. Thanks to this attribute and the 3 stone mount, you can count on a maximum variation in running accuracy of +/- 10 seconds per year. The movement also features an EOL (End Of Life) function (indication of low battery), which alerts the watch user when the battery needs to be replaced.
Like all Certina watches, it is equipped with the unique DS technology (Double Security System), which increases the durability, shock resistance and water resistance reliability of the watch (1. reinforced sapphire crystal, 2. seal on the crown shaft, 3. double seal on the crown, 4. special back cap seal, 5. reinforced back cap).
