Baume & Mercier Clifton 10551 brings the elegant and timeless design of the Clifton range, which is characterised by its clarity and clean look. The model is a great choice when choosing an elegant men's watch suitable for everyday use.
The Baume & Mercier Clifton M0A10551 has a lacquered dial in grey, which increases in depth from the centre to the edges. Contrasting silver alpha hands and embossed, hand-applied needle indices at the hour positions ensure clarity. The watch is powered by the in-house-made Baumatic BM13-1975A COSC mechanical movement with an impressive power reserve of 120 hours. The self-winding movement with a frequency of 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour offers a crown winding option, a stop-seconds function when setting the time (hacking) and a practical date function at the classic 3 o'clock position. The movement delights with COSC certification and running accuracy of just -4 to +6 s/d.
The unmistakable dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with high scratch resistance. It is also anti-reflective, ensuring excellent legibility even in direct sunlight. Sapphire has also been used for the caseback, through which the operation of the mechanical movement can be observed.
The steel case of the watch is complemented by a five-row steel bracelet finished with a butterfly clasp. It is the integrated bracelet that promotes the sporty feel of the watch, and it is also equipped with a quick-release system, which makes it very easy to change without tools.
A nice detail of the original leather strap is the lightly shaped end cap, which allows the strap to reach down to the case.
The water resistance of this model is 50 m. The diameter of the case is 40 mm, so the watch fits perfectly on most men's wrists. The watch will please the possibility of extending the manufacturer's warranty from the classic 2 years to 8 years, simply by registering the watch on after the purchase.
