After the introduction of the new Shar spherical watch in early October 2022, this spherical model caused a huge stir in the watch market and among many watch lovers around the world. The absolutely spherical case of the automatic watch, is an innovation and an absolute world first. And with a diameter of just 25 mm , the brand has managed to score again on the occasion of its 30th anniversary with this extraordinary attraction.
The spherical shape is close to perfection - without edges and corners, but also without beginning and end. Another successor to the new Shar wristwatch, which translates from Russian as "sphere", shines in a shiny gold case.
The case and the sapphire crystal on the front are joined to form a sphere. To connect the case back and the body without additional holes, a special design with a single screw has been developed. The screw is placed in the middle of the case back, connecting the two parts in a watertight way and also has a hemispherical shape that matches the overall shape. The sapphire crystal perfectly matches the spherical shape and blends in almost perfectly with the case.
The legs of the case are also made of small spheres. A clever design has also been devised to attach them to the case. The most important thing for the feet is for their perfectly horizontal position to be perpendicular to the holster. This was accomplished by using a rectangular strap end bracket and a rectangular hole in the case. This makes it very easy to centre the strap in the optimum horizontal position. This special holder is attached by a screw inside the case. A soft and flexible crocodile leather strap has been used for this model. However, there is also an option to purchase the watch with a golden steel bracelet.
Inside the Alexander Shorokhoff Shar AS.SH05-5 watch works a Swiss mechanical movement ETA.2671 with automatic winding. The movement rotor is hand engraved. The dial made of genuine malachite underlines the gold and green colour motif. The watch is limited to only 30 pieces worldwide.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the strap colour. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
