Elegant men's Alexander Shorokhoff Babylonian III watch . AS.BYL03Y belongs to the Avantgarde model series. The Babylonian III is a unique watch with a history dating back thousands of years. The entire model series was named in honor of Babylon, the capital of the Babylonian Empire, and one of the most important cities of antiquity.
To celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary in 2022, the Babylonian III model has returned. The new variant is now available in a new colour combination. Unlike its predecessors, this model is housed in a 43.5mm case due to high demand.
The case of the Babylonian III. AS.BYL03Y is made of 316L stainless steel and houses the 2614AS movement with manual winding. The movement is hand-finished, engraved and, thanks to the transparent sapphire crystal, beautifully visible. It is set with 17 jewels and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The interesting dial design incorporates the legend of the ancient Sumerians and the signs of the Zodiac.
The dial consists of two parts. On the lower part there is the sign of the zodiac. These are first etched and then engraved by hand, the outer surface of the zodiac sign is hand matted with a chisel. The upper part of the dial consists of two mother-of-pearl circles. The narrower, outer one shows the minutes and the wider, inner one shows the abbreviations of the zodiac signs. At the end of the seconds hand, the sun is depicted. All protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
The water resistance of this model is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can come into contact with splashing water, for example, when washing hands or taking a shower. The watch comes with a genuine alligator leather strap protected by a regulated breeding mark.
The watch was produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the colour of the strap. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
