Elegant men's Alexander Shorokhoff Babylonian I watch . AS.BYL01 belongs to the Avantgarde model series. Babylonian will take you thousands of years into the past, to an ancient empire that no longer exists, but still attracts us with its culture, science and architecture. The dominant numeral 60, which characterises the entire Avantgarde range, is given a new dimension in the Babylonian models. It suggests a completely new concept of time. 60 is both an end and a new beginning - a continuous cycle, a recurring beginning and end - eternity.
Babylonian I watch case . AS.BYL01 is made of 316L stainless steel. Inside it is a 2609AS movement with manual winding. The movement is hand-finished, engraved and, thanks to the transparent sapphire crystal, beautifully visible. It is set with 17 jewels and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The Babylonian hides the entire universe with celestial bodies "floating" under the gently convex arch of the sapphire crystal. The greatest treasure of the watch, as is always the case in mystical stories, is hidden in the depths, i.e. inside the case. It is a hand-engraved movement with a design of sun rays enclosed in a blue-violet ring of natural mother-of-pearl, on which the 12 symbols of the zodiac are placed. The Euphrates and Tigris rivers "flow" through the centre of the dial, hidden in tiny waves depicting the horizontal axis of the dial, which divides it into two halves. One is the sunlit day, the other the moonlit night.
The water resistance of this model is set at 5 ATM, so the watch can come into contact with splashing water, for example, when washing hands or taking a shower. The watch comes with a genuine ostrich leather strap.
The watch was produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
The manufacturer reserves the right to change the colour of the strap. The straps are hand-stitched and it may happen that the leather of a given colour is no longer available.

Alexander Shorokhoff is a German company producing mechanical watches with a highly artistic design. The founder of the brand is Mr. Alexander Shorokhov, who was sent to Germany in 1991 as one of the best managers to further his education in his field. Within one year, he established a trading company for the most important Russian watch brand Poljot here with the aim of enabling the commercialization of this brand in all European countries. In 1994, he started his own business with his first own watch brand, Poljot-International.
However, in order to fulfill his great ambition to produce high-quality watches independently, in 2003 he founded the watch company Alexander Shorokhoff under his own name, based in the town of Alzenau in the heart of Bavaria. The two letters "f" at the end of the company's name are a reference to its Russian roots and the historical background of the brand.
Alexander Shorokhov is a world citizen. He travels the world and draws inspiration from the many countries and cultures he visits. But it draws the most from its roots, which stem from a rich and thousand-year artistic and cultural history. These aspects combined with German precision lead to an unusual individual watch design, combined with great commitment, excellent quality and the highest possible precision.
The brand will present itself to us in three main model lines: Avantgarde, Heritage and Vintage.
