The AMS brand is a traditional German manufacturer of high-quality wall and table clocks. The roots of the brand go back to 1776, when the Mayer family began producing the first pendulum wooden clocks in the village of Schönach in the Black Forest. The traditional Black Forest clockmaking, passed down from generation to generation, continued and in 1841 Andreas Mayer officially founded the watchmaking company. The current name AMS (Andreas Mayer & Söhne) began to be used as a trademark in the 20th century. Today, AMS is still an independent family business with more than 240 years of tradition, still based in the German village of Schönach. AMS is one of the oldest continuously existing watch brands in Europe and offers a wide range of interior clocks - from classic mechanical to modern design clocks.
