The Vostok Europe Lunochod-2 Multifuncional Line YM86/620A636B belongs to the Lunochod-2 model series . Lunokhod-2, launched by Luna 21 (15 January 1973), worked for 4.5 months, took around 80,000 images and travelled 37 km. The Lunokhod 2 held the record for the longest range on an extraterrestrial body until 2004, when it was surpassed by the Oportunity vehicle.
The case of the Vostok Europe Lunochod-2 Multifuncional Line YM86/620A636B is made of 316L stainless steel. Inside is a battery-powered Japanese S.EPSON YM86 movement. The sub-dial at position 12 displays the current day of the week. The central hand with a fork at the end serves as an indicator of the current day of the month. The numeric scale on the main dial is divided into three sectors: at the 0-36 minute position is the days of the month sector, at the 38-52 minute position is the months sector and at the 54-58 minute position is the years sector (four-year cycle with leap year). The watch also has a stopwatch function, an alarm and a unidirectional rotating lunette. It also has a helium valve.
The dial is protected by a mineral tempered glass with an internal anti-reflective treatment. Perfect readability in the dark is ensured by a total of 15 tritium capsules from the Swiss company MB Microtech AG. They can be found on the indices and the minute and hour hands. Thanks to its 49 mm diameter, it will be an ideal choice for fans of larger watches.
The water resistance of the Lunochod-2 Multifuncional Line YM86/620A636B is set at 20 ATM and is supported by a screw-down crown. In addition to the steel strap, a replacement silicone strap is also included.
The watch was produced in a limited edition of 3,000 pieces.
The color of the silicone strap is not fixed by the manufacturer and may differ from the illustration photos.
