Men's Vostok Europe Lunochod-2 Chrono Line 6S21/620E278 watch belongs to the Lunochod-2 model series. Lunochod-2, launched by Luna 21 (15 January 1973), worked for 4.5 months, took around 80,000 images and travelled 37 km. The Lunokhod 2 held the record for the longest range on an extraterrestrial body until 2004, when it was surpassed by the Oportunity vehicle.
The case of the Vostok Europe Lunochod-2 Chrono Line 6S21/620E278 is made of stainless steel with a blue PVD finish. Inside is a battery-operated Japanese Miyota 6S21 movement. At the 6 position is a handy date display. The watch is equipped with a stopwatch function, where the central seconds hand belongs to the stopwatch and at position 9 we find the minute counter. Furthermore, the watch has a unidirectional rotating lunette and a helium valve.
The dial is protected by a mineral hardened glass with anti-reflective treatment. A total of 15 tritium capsules ensure perfect readability in the dark. They can be found on the indices and the minute and hour hands. Thanks to its 49 mm diameter, it will be the ideal choice for fans of larger watches.
The water resistance of the Lunochod-2 Chrono Line 6S21/620E278 is set at 30 ATM and is supported by a screw-down crown. In addition to the silicone strap, a spare leather strap is also included.
