This year Traser introduces two groundbreaking innovations with the special edition Traser P99 Iris Tactical Rubber, limited to 300 pieces. The combination of the new generation Super Powered trigalights and the retractable iris aperture ensures optimum readability with absolute control over luminescence. Both of these patented solutions are Swiss-made and are the result of many years of development. The constant light sources allow reliable time display even in prolonged darkness.

The "Always-on" technology offers high reliability, but until now could not be switched on or off at the touch of a button. Following development, the Traser brand is introducing a new application in the watch sector: a retractable iris aperture that can completely darken the dial in an instant. This can come in handy in combat conditions, for example, where you eliminate the risk of being betrayed. A quarter turn of the slotted lunette counterclockwise is all it takes to close the 16-lens aperture. Opening is just as simple, except that the lunette turns clockwise. The bezel thus slides under the edge of the case, giving you an unobstructed view of the neatly crafted dial. The movement is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Since the blades do not require lubrication, the limited edition P99 Iris is maintenance-free and guarantees consistently precise operation.

The case, made of black PVD-coated steel and water-resistant to 100 metres, is further secured by a screw-down crown and a fixed screw-down dial engraved with the limited edition number . The watch thus provides effective protection for both the aperture mechanism and the Ronda 517 Swiss quartz movement with date and day-of-the-week display functions.
