Men's Tissot Telemeter 1938 T142.462.16.032.00 watches are particularly interesting for their retro look of the 1930s and the unusual appearance of the dial with telemetric and tachymetric scale.

The Tissot Telemeter 1938 T1424621603200 has a case made of stainless steel, which is complemented by a brown leather strap. Inside it, the ETA A05.231 movement, which is based on the Valjoux 7753 movement, works reliably. The movement has a power reserve of up to 68 hours, operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 oscillations per hour) and has 29 stone settings. The model has a stopwatch function, a telemetric scale on the outside of the dial and a tachymetric scale in the centre of the dial. The machine also has a "hacking" function (stopping the seconds hand when ordered) and the possibility of manual winding with the crown.

Thetelemetric scale is used to determine the distance of the watch owner from the event, which can be seen and heard at the same time. In the past, it was used to guide the accurate firing of artillerymen. Today it can be used, for example, to measure the distance of a thunderstorm. Using it is very simple, press the stopwatch the moment you see lightning in the distance. Stop the stopwatch when you hear thunder. Then you just need to read it the distance in either kilometers or miles, depending on how the telemetry scale is calibrated. The tachymetric scale is probably the most commonly used scale and is used to read the speed per kilometer.

The white dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides of the glass, which is highly scratch resistant. The water resistance of the model is 30 m, so the watch can withstand only basic contact with water, such as washing hands. The beautifully decorated movement can be seen through the transparent dial.
