TheTissot Seastar 2000 Professional Automatic T120.907.37.041.00men's watch is part of theT-Sport Seastar collection. This model series is designed primarily for lovers of water sports and diving watches. 

TheTissot T1209073704100is powered by a Swiss-made Powermatic 80.111 automatic mechanical movement, which boastsa power reserve of up to80 hours. It is set with 23 jewels, and its 21,600 vibrations per hour can be observed through the transparent case back. The balance spring of this movement is made ofNivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes and contributes to the watch’s improved accuracy. The movement is based on a variant of the ETA 2824. Tissot played a significant role in its developmentand, as a result, became the first watchmaker in the world to incorporate it into its watches. This further cemented its reputation as a leading innovator in the watchmaking industry. 

The watch features a combination of a steel case with a black PVD coating and a rubber strap with a pin buckle. The dark blue dial is protected by sapphire crystal, which ishighly scratch-resistant. In addition, the crystal is coated with an anti-reflective layer, allowing for easy time-reading even in direct sunlight. 

This model features the classic design of a diver’swatch, so excellent readability, luminescence, and a unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel—equipped with a ceramic insert—are standard features. A helium escape valve is located on the side of the case. Its water resistanceof 600 mis ensured bya screw-down crown andguarantees durability in virtually any contact with water, including deep-sea diving.A date window is also located at the 6 o’clock position.

The watch complies with theISO 6425:2018 standard for diving watches. Watches that meet this standard must be water-resistant to at least 100 meters, and they must be tested at a pressure of 125% of the declared depth (i.e., a watch rated to 200 m according to ISO 2281 is tested only to 200 m, while a diving watch according to ISO 6425 must be tested at a pressure equivalent to 250 m), and other properties are also evaluated. For example, tests are conducted for decompression, corrosion resistance, resistance to magnetic fields, and shock resistance. They must also feature a unidirectional rotating bezel, applied luminescent material, and other features.
