The Tissot PR516 Mecanical Chronograph T149.459.21.051.00 is part of the T-Sport PRS 516 series. This model series features a design inspired by motorsport from the 1960s.

The Tissot T1494592105100 is powered by a Swiss mechanical movement with ETA Valjoux A05.291 manual winding. This movement was made specifically for this model and is based on the legendary Valjoux 7753 movement. Several modifications have been made, such as replacing the automatic winding with a manual winding, so instead of a self-winding rotor we find a bridge with the Tissot 1853 logo on the movement. The power reserve has also been extended to a respectable 68 hours, while maintaining the movement frequency at 28,800 semi-frequencies per hour. The flywheel of this movement is made of Nivachron alloy, which is more resistant to magnetic fields and temperature changes and has the effect of improving the accuracy of the watch.

On the black dial we find an off-centre seconds hand at the 9 o'clock position. The other two sub-dials are used for the stopwatch, with a minute counter at the second hour position and an hour counter at the sixth hour position. On the lunette around the dial, which is protected by mineral glass, is a handy tachymeter scale, which is used to read the speed per kilometre. Both the hands and the indices are filled with Super-LumiNova luminescent coating, which ensures trouble-free time reading even in low-light conditions.

The watch is made in an all-steel design. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which is highly resistant to scratches. Thanks to the water resistance to 100 metres (10 ATM) , it is not necessary to remove the watch from the hand even when swimming or snorkelling. It will be a great partner not only for everyday wear, but also for sports in the water and on land.
