The dominant feature is a blue gradient dial with a smooth color transition evoking the depths of the sea, featuring partial Arabic numerals and hour markers for quick and intuitive time-reading. Perfect readability in low light, in complete darkness, and underwater is guaranteed by the premium Super-LumiNova® luminescent coating applied to the hands and hour markers.
The watch is built around a round case made of high-grade stainless steel with a versatile diameter of 40.5 mm and a comfortable thickness of 11.5 mm, harmoniously combining brushed and polished surfaces. A true highlight and indispensable functional element is the unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel with a ratchet mechanism, which stands out for its exceptional hardness and scratch resistance when timing underwater. Maximum protection for the dial is provided by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, which effectively eliminates distracting glare and ensures flawless clarity even in direct sunlight.
Precise and utterly reliable operation is ensured by the proven Timex 684 quartz movement, powered by an SR626SW silver oxide button cell battery. The watch’s robust construction is built to withstand rough handling thanks to a screw-down case back and a screw-down crown featuring integrated side protection, which reliably prevents accidental damage or moisture from entering the case.
Maximum comfort during sports activities and everyday wear is provided by the matte-finish strap, made of synthetic HNBR rubber. This advanced material is characterized by exceptional mechanical durability and resistance to UV radiation and saltwater. The strap, with a lug spacing of 20 mm, features a classic pin buckle and is designed for wrist circumferences ranging from 150 to 205 mm. Quick-release pins allow for quick, tool-free adjustments to the look, while the balanced total weight of 86.93 g ensures a stable and comfortable fit on the wrist all day long.
The watch boasts a robust water resistance rating of 200 meters (20 ATM), which, combined with the screw-down crown and case back, guarantees reliable protection not only during everyday contact with water or showering, but especially during demanding water sports and diving.

Timex is an American brand of affordable watches that was founded in 1854 in Waterbury, Connecticut, where it is still based today. The manufacturer currently focuses on the production of a wide range of different types of watches, from the purely sporty digital Ironman (for example, this model from the 90s is legendary) to the formal mechanical Marlin or the very popular and extremely well-designed retro series Q Reissue, which is based on everyday watches from the 70s to 90s.
Over the decades, watches from this manufacturer have rightly earned a reputation for excellent price-performance ratio, which is of course very welcome for "normal" daily wear. A synonym for Timex is their slogan 'It takes a licking and keeps on ticking', which the company started using in the 1950s.
Nowadays, Timex is notorious for numerous collaborations with well-known and lesser-known brands and personalities, which often result in unique and highly collectible pieces. The first significant collaboration of this kind saw the light of day in 1930, when Timex released a series of watches inspired by Mickey Mouse together with the Disney company - which actually saved them from financial collapse at the time.
