Seiko Prospex Speedtimer HBJ003P1 rozšiřují řadu skvěle přijatých solárních chronografů s větším pouzdrem od Seika, které odkazují na úspěchy značky na poli vývoje hodinek se stopkami a legendární model Seiko 6139 (Seiko Speedtimer), jeden z prvních chronografů s automatickým strojkem, který jako první využíval sloupkové kolo a vertikální spojku.
Model Seiko Prospex HBJ003P1 na první pohled zaujme netradičním zelenomodrým číselníkem s efektem slunečního brusu a kontrastními subciferníky. Hodinky krom času nabízí funkci ukazatele data a stopek. Stopky je možné ovládat postranními tlačítky - vrchní stopky spouští a zastavuje, spodní nuluje naměřené hodnoty. Lze s nimi měřit až hodinové intervaly s přesností na 1/5 sekundy. Hodinky jsou vedle toho vybaveny 24hodinovým ukazatlem času na pozici 3. hodiny. Sportovní nádech hodinek je podpořen tachymetrickou stupnicí na lunetě, díky níž lze za použití stopek, změřit rychlost vozidla.
Číselník je chráněn safírovým sklíčkem s vnitřním antireflexem, zaručujícím vysokou odolnost proti poškrábání a skvělou čitelnost i na přímém světle.
Hodinky pohání solárně napájený strojek Seiko V192, u něhož je akumulátor dobíjen jak přírodním, tak umělým světlem. Strojek nabízí přesnost ±15 sekund za měsíc a při plném nabití disponuje rezervou chodu až 6 měsíců.
Pouzdro hodinek doplňuje na ruce velmi příjemný ocelový náramek, zakončený překlápěcí sponou. Voděodolnost hodinek je 100 m, takže s nimi můžete bez obav plavat. Průměr pouzdra 41 mm skvěle sedne na většinu pánských zápěstí.
