The PRIM Pilot Dual Time W01P.13297.A men’s automatic pilot’s watch builds on the enormous success of the previous, completely sold-out edition and brings the proven concept of a classic pilot’s watch into the modern era.
The central feature of the model is a black dial with bold Arabic numerals, which honors its authentic aviation heritage and allows for effortless time-reading at a single glance. The luminescent coating on the hands ensures reliable time-reading in low light or complete darkness, and the dial also features a practical date window.
In addition to the standard hour, minute, and second hands, the watch features a separate fourth 24-hour hand to display a second time zone. This additional GMT hand completes one full rotation of the dial every 24 hours and immediately reveals on the inner scale not only the exact time at the destination being tracked, but also whether it is currently day or night there. This is an invaluable complication for globetrotters, top executives, and anyone who stays in touch with family or colleagues on the other side of the world.
The watch’s bold and confident appearance is underscored by a robust round case measuring 43 mm in diameter and 13 mm in height, which is precision-crafted from high-grade 316L stainless steel with an antique silver-gray finish. A special patinated finish gives the metal an authentic character, as if the watch already has a history and has been through a lot, which perfectly complements the traditional pilot’s aesthetic. The dial is uncompromisingly protected from damage and scratches by a flat sapphire crystal, which retains absolute clarity and durability even during demanding daily use.
Precise and reliable operation is ensured by the proven Japanese mechanical movement, the Seiko-TMI NH34A caliber, fitted with 24 jewels. The movement operates at a reliable frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, allowing the second hand to move smoothly in six small increments per second. The automatic winding mechanism draws energy from the natural movement of the wrist and, when fully wound, provides a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. The watch also features manual winding via the crown and a practical hacking function that stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled out, allowing for precise time adjustment based on a reference signal.
The watch is assembled with the utmost emphasis on precision by skilled master watchmakers, ensuring top-notch craftsmanship in every detail. A sturdy leather strap keeps the watch securely on the wrist, emphasizing its vintage aviation character and ensuring high comfort for all-day wear.
Weighing a total of 93 grams, the watch feels solid and natural on the wrist.
Furthermore, its 10 ATM (100-meter) water resistance provides worry-free protection during everyday contact with water, such as walking in the rain or washing your hands; for planned swimming, simply swap the leather strap for a water-resistant alternative.

The idea of producing Czechoslovak wristwatches first appeared immediately after the end of World War II. The effort of the management at that time was to limit the dependence on imports, especially from the western states of Europe. Wristwatches were not produced in Czechoslovakia before
In the fall of 1949, Adolf Martínek was entrusted with the task of building a new plant and preparing the serial production of wristwatches, who, in the unused building of the national committee in Nové Město nad Metují, together with the first 15 colleagues, embarked on a task that at the time was handled by only eight countries in the world.
Those interested bought the first Czechoslovak wristwatch in 1958. However, first it was necessary to choose the brand under which the wristwatch would be manufactured.
The PRIM brand was chosen, which at the time was also used for timepieces produced in other plants of the national company Chronotechna. Initially, an identical logo was used for the alarm clocks and wall clocks called the "loaf". Later, however, the graphic form was simplified to meet the requirements for modern dial design. The designer Josef Žid is the author of the so-called "standing" PRIM logo, which has been used on wristwatches since the 1970s. Until the 1990s, part of the designer's work was also the design of watches, which is why Josef Žid was entrusted with the design of the new brand. In addition, the need for a new graphic representation of the brand was supported by the fact that in 1969 the watch manufacturing plant in Nové Město nad Metují became completely independent and acquired the name it bears to this day - ELTON.
Until the 1990s, the New Town plant produced hundreds of thousands of wristwatches a year. However, after the so-called Velvet Revolution, watches from foreign brands began to flood Czechoslovakia - from luxury to the cheapest Asian ones. Interest in primkeys gradually declined and for a while it seemed that the production of Czech wristwatches no longer had a future.
Fortunately, it was possible to gradually revive interest in domestic products. Therefore, it was decided to convert the factory into small-scale production of the manufactory type. In 2008, the production of new mechanical movements began and ELTON hodinářská joined the ranks of important watch manufactures that rely on handwork, precision and an individual approach to the customer.
