Masterpiece of Czech watchmakers: the PRIM ORLÍK 38 DAMAŠEK BRILIANT LE 95-025-516-57-1
A brand new model from the New Town manufacture, which this year celebrates 75 years since the foundation stone of the Czech watchmaking tradition was laid, raises the bar for the perception of luxury combined with the utility value and durability of watches. In this case, time has become a true testament to the uncompromising craftsmanship and skill of ELTON watchmakers.
Two variants, two unique designs
One was not enough. That's why the designers and engineers embarked on two designs and two versions. Both variants proved to be sophisticated and elegant already in design. In the case of the model with diamonds, also very refined.
This is the first version in the history of the iconic Eagle to be decorated with stones.
The number of pieces in the edition is only 30 of each variant.
Material.
The material of the case and the clasp is AUSTENITE. Stainless steel damascus combining two austenitic - non-malleable steels. Both components are distinguished by their low nickel content. It is hypoallergenic, suitable for contact with human skin. Together they form a captivating whole.
By etching the damascus, an interesting pattern is already emphasised during its manufacture. The polishing of the damask parts is a precise manual work that takes an experienced employee up to 6 hours.
The case: a new design.
The entire case design is also new. The subtle yet striking model is complemented by a crown guard. The case itself is coated with a DLC finish to make it more scratch resistant. Its screw-down mechanism ensures safe diving up to 10 ATM.
Dials: each is original
The dials of both variants are perforated and specially lacquered, each piece separately. Each one is therefore a unique original. The gradual darkening of the colour from the centre to the edges is attractive and catches your eye every time you look at the watch.
The diamond dial variant of the 95-025-516-57-1 adds a touch of glamour and luxury for those who are not satisfied with little and seek an unusual watch concept. The two variants also differ in the detail of the word Eagle. The more technical font adorns the dial without stones, while the writing variant is part of a more flamboyant style with stones.
Movement: made in the manufactory
The heart of the watch is the inhouse calibre 95, mechanical with automatic winding. Under the glass lid, you can look at it and never stop enjoying it. You will then see the number of your limited edition watch on the rotor.
A testament to precision and passion
Watchmaking at ELTON Watchmaking has long since moved beyond the shadow of the mass production of the past. Today's pieces of manufacture watches are highly precise work, from design to final assembly, including the manufacture of the movement. Under one roof, with no major third-party assistance. This is the philosophy behind the watches bearing the PRIM MANUFACTURE 1949 label.
For the perfect impression, the straps come into their own. Carefully selected in colour to enhance the beauty of the entire model. And not only that. The quality and tradition of the tanneries in France, the values of the owners and workers there are in harmony with our approach to work and the world around us. A manufacturer from the beautiful area near Tarn has been making history since 1903. Over time, it has become a symbol of luxury and quality and synonymous with a deep respect for materials and respect for life and nature.
Their investment in innovation and recycling is significant.
"This conception of the legendary Eagles, whether we see them as a solitaire or a pair, is for me a great step forward, but with complete respect for the significance of this iconic model. The finer case, the exclusive material, the diamond work on one of the variants and the fine-tuning to the smallest detail is evolutionary and trendy. Personally, I can imagine it as a wedding gift or a watch to be worn by the betrothed during the ceremony, for example. Other festive moments for individuals and couples are, of course, also offered, " says ELTON Watches product manager, Ilona Remes.
Stop dreaming. Start living your legend.
Write a new chapter in the story of Czech watches on your wrist. A story of handmade craftsmanship and humility towards Czech watchmaking. About refined taste and admiration for what our people can do.
These Eagles are ideal as a pair. A gift for newlyweds, parents on their anniversary, business owners, business partners. And to yourself.

The idea of producing Czechoslovak wristwatches first appeared immediately after the end of World War II. The effort of the management at that time was to limit the dependence on imports, especially from the western states of Europe. Wristwatches were not produced in Czechoslovakia before
In the fall of 1949, Adolf Martínek was entrusted with the task of building a new plant and preparing the serial production of wristwatches, who, in the unused building of the national committee in Nové Město nad Metují, together with the first 15 colleagues, embarked on a task that at the time was handled by only eight countries in the world.
Those interested bought the first Czechoslovak wristwatch in 1958. However, first it was necessary to choose the brand under which the wristwatch would be manufactured.
The PRIM brand was chosen, which at the time was also used for timepieces produced in other plants of the national company Chronotechna. Initially, an identical logo was used for the alarm clocks and wall clocks called the "loaf". Later, however, the graphic form was simplified to meet the requirements for modern dial design. The designer Josef Žid is the author of the so-called "standing" PRIM logo, which has been used on wristwatches since the 1970s. Until the 1990s, part of the designer's work was also the design of watches, which is why Josef Žid was entrusted with the design of the new brand. In addition, the need for a new graphic representation of the brand was supported by the fact that in 1969 the watch manufacturing plant in Nové Město nad Metují became completely independent and acquired the name it bears to this day - ELTON.
Until the 1990s, the New Town plant produced hundreds of thousands of wristwatches a year. However, after the so-called Velvet Revolution, watches from foreign brands began to flood Czechoslovakia - from luxury to the cheapest Asian ones. Interest in primkeys gradually declined and for a while it seemed that the production of Czech wristwatches no longer had a future.
Fortunately, it was possible to gradually revive interest in domestic products. Therefore, it was decided to convert the factory into small-scale production of the manufactory type. In 2008, the production of new mechanical movements began and ELTON hodinářská joined the ranks of important watch manufactures that rely on handwork, precision and an individual approach to the customer.
