One watch, two brands, seventy-seven years of history behind them.
The design is based on the Prim Sport 68 collection , which builds on the sporty Prim watches from the 1960s and carries on their clean, functional character. The black-and-gold dial draws on the historic identity of Botas. The Botas logo, subtle gold details, and gold-plated hands give the watch an elegant retro look. The applied hour markers and hands feature a luminescent coating, allowing you to read the time even in low light or darkness.
The stainless steel case measures 43 mm in diameter and 13 mm in height. The domed sapphire crystal features a double-sided anti-reflective coating, and the unidirectional rotating bezel is fitted with a luminescent ceramic insert. Through the screw-down sapphire caseback—which also features the limited edition numbering—you can see the rotor with a soccer ball motif. The watch is water-resistant to 200 m. Inside, it is powered by a Miyota 8315 automatic movement with a power reserve of up to 60 hours.
After seventy-seven years, their paths intersect for the first time in a single model. The Prim Botas 77 LE combines Prim’s watchmaking expertise with Botas’s historical identity in a single limited edition. Only 77 pieces will be produced. Not a single one more.
Shoes are not included in the package.
This edition also has a specific charitable purpose. On July 9, 2026, a fire engulfed Building No. 34 in Zlín, where Botas stored its merchandise. From every watch sold, 3,400 Kč goes directly to Botas to help restore its operations and warehouse. Once the edition sells out, the total will amount to 261,800 Kč. We’re launching the pre-sale a few months early so that the funds reach Botas as soon as possible.
For people who know their stuff.
Botas and Prim were founded in the same year, 1949. Each brand in a different part of the country. The story of Botas began in Skuteč, while the first Prim watches were created in Nové Město nad Metují. One factory made shoes; the other measured time.
Over the decades, millions of pairs of shoes and millions of watches left those production halls. Botas shoes were a fixture in school hallways, sports stadiums, and everyday life. Prim watches marked the first paychecks, family celebrations, and significant life moments. For several generations, both brands became a part of everyday life. They were united by the same dedication: honest Czech craftsmanship and the people who truly stood behind the production.
After seventy-seven years, their paths intersect for the first time in a single model. The Prim Botas 77 LE combines Prim’s watchmaking expertise with Botas’s historic identity in a single limited edition. Only 77 pieces will be produced. Not a single one more.

The idea of producing Czechoslovak wristwatches first appeared immediately after the end of World War II. The effort of the management at that time was to limit the dependence on imports, especially from the western states of Europe. Wristwatches were not produced in Czechoslovakia before
In the fall of 1949, Adolf Martínek was entrusted with the task of building a new plant and preparing the serial production of wristwatches, who, in the unused building of the national committee in Nové Město nad Metují, together with the first 15 colleagues, embarked on a task that at the time was handled by only eight countries in the world.
Those interested bought the first Czechoslovak wristwatch in 1958. However, first it was necessary to choose the brand under which the wristwatch would be manufactured.
The PRIM brand was chosen, which at the time was also used for timepieces produced in other plants of the national company Chronotechna. Initially, an identical logo was used for the alarm clocks and wall clocks called the "loaf". Later, however, the graphic form was simplified to meet the requirements for modern dial design. The designer Josef Žid is the author of the so-called "standing" PRIM logo, which has been used on wristwatches since the 1970s. Until the 1990s, part of the designer's work was also the design of watches, which is why Josef Žid was entrusted with the design of the new brand. In addition, the need for a new graphic representation of the brand was supported by the fact that in 1969 the watch manufacturing plant in Nové Město nad Metují became completely independent and acquired the name it bears to this day - ELTON.
Until the 1990s, the New Town plant produced hundreds of thousands of wristwatches a year. However, after the so-called Velvet Revolution, watches from foreign brands began to flood Czechoslovakia - from luxury to the cheapest Asian ones. Interest in primkeys gradually declined and for a while it seemed that the production of Czech wristwatches no longer had a future.
Fortunately, it was possible to gradually revive interest in domestic products. Therefore, it was decided to convert the factory into small-scale production of the manufactory type. In 2008, the production of new mechanical movements began and ELTON hodinářská joined the ranks of important watch manufactures that rely on handwork, precision and an individual approach to the customer.
