Orient Star Contemporary Skeleton M34 F8 RE-AZ0105N 75th Anniversary Limited Edition celebrates 75 years of the Japanese brand. It belongs to the M34 collection and offers an unusual view of the very heart of the watch through the skeletonised dial. It reveals the beauty and perfection of fine mechanics, in a design inspired by the Perseid meteor shower and the mystery of the universe.

The Orient Star Contemporary Skeleton RE-AZ0105N offers a fascinating glimpse into the heart of the movement thanks to its skeleton dial with a meteorite-like surface. The dial combines black and grey with a matte finish that evokes the darkness of space.
The unusual skeleton dial is protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Apart from the special dial with a cut-through centre, the watch also delights with details in the form of applied indices, brushed hands, a signed crown, a view of the movement and its components, and the case treatment and transitions of polished and brushed surfaces.

The watch stands out for its level of craftsmanship, unmistakable design, lines and details of the case and dial. The steel case of the Orient RE-AZ0105N00B is complemented by a sophisticated steel bracelet finished with a folding clasp, both with a black PVD finish. The package also includes a black cordovan leather strap finished with a fold-over clasp.

The movement is powered by an Orient F8B65 mechanical movement with a power reserve of 70 hours and a high accuracy of +15 to -5 s/day. The higher power reserve has been achieved thanks to a newly developed silicon stepper wheel, which is lighter and offers higher power transmission efficiency. Its vivid blue colour (Orient has patented the process) and unique spiral shape evoke the vastness of the universe.
This movement also features a stopping of the seconds hand when the watch is set (called hacking) and an interesting complication is the winding power reserve indicator at the 12 o'clock position. The movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 semi-frequencies/hour, can also be observed thanks to the open caseback. The caseback is protected by a sapphire crystal.

The water resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain and hand washing. The 39 mm case diameter makes it a great fit on the wrist and a great everyday choice.

The limited edition is limited to 430 pieces.
