The Orient Contemporary Stretto Sun & Moon RA-AK0316L Special Edition delivers an elegant, universally styled watch suitable for everyday wear and more formal occasions, expanding the range of affordable and well-crafted models with mechanical movements in the Contemporary line.

The Orient Stretto models are based on the design of the popular Semi Skeleton model while taking inspiration from the urban landscape. The wedge-shaped indices are reminiscent of high-rise buildings, while the circular depression below the indices represents the curves often found in modern architecture. The brushed surface of the case and bracelet is suitably interrupted by polished elements that accentuate the lines of the watch.

The case of the Orient RA-AK0316L30B is made of stainless steel. It is complemented by a steel bracelet, which is longer lasting than the straps and makes the watch more versatile.
The watch is impressed by the distinctive colour scheme of the dial. The contrasting applied indices at the hour positions are also complemented by the distinctive hands. It is protected by a sapphire crystal with high scratch resistance. For better legibility in low-light conditions, the watch is equipped with luminescent filling of the hands and luminescent dots at the indices.
The watch is powered by an Orient F6B24 mechanical movement with automatic winding and a power reserve of 40 hours. An obvious function is the stopping of the second hand when setting the time (so-called hacking) and an interesting complication is the time of day indicator at the 5 o'clock position, with a disc showing the moon and sun. Also unusual is the day indicator in the sub-dial at the 10 o'clock position, with a date display at 3 o'clock. The movement, operating at a frequency of 21,600 half-beats/hour, can be observed thanks to the open caseback.

The water resistance of this model is 50 m, so the watch can easily withstand normal contact with water, such as rain and hand washing. With a case diameter of 41.5 mm, the watch fits well on most men's wrists.

The watch is part of a limited seasonal unnumbered edition, and within the collection, the dial is particularly striking, incorporating the colours of all Orient Stretto Date Spring-Summer 2026 models.
