Orient Contemporary Flusso RA-BB0206E European Limited Edition expands the range of accessible and superbly crafted models with mechanical movements in the Contemporary collection. It builds upon the distinctive design of the iconic SK (Super King) model, which gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s. The new Flusso range brings its characteristic shapes into the present day and combines them with a modern interpretation of sports-oriented watches for everyday wear. The watch is a limited edition intended for Europe only and will be available in a quantity of 1,500 pieces.
The most distinctive feature of the model is the case with a seamlessly connected integrated steel bracelet, which creates the impression of a visually unified whole. Four recessed elements in the corners of the case and lines on the crown side reference the original SK model, whilst the left side of the case and the bracelet finishing harmonise with the name of the Flusso range, which means "flow" in Italian.
The petrol dial with a subtle sunburst finish offers clarity, provided by applied indices at the hour positions and prominent hands. For better legibility when transitioning into darkness, the watch hands are equipped with luminescence. The dial also references its predecessor through subtle details in the form of numerical elements. Many will appreciate the absence of a date window, thanks to which the dial appears clean and balanced.
It is protected by a sapphire crystal with high scratch resistance.
The watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement Orient F6522 with a power reserve of around 40 hours. The movement naturally features manual winding capability and a seconds hand stop function when setting the time (so-called hacking).
Water resistance of 100 m allows the watch to be used not only during regular daily wear, but also whilst swimming. Thanks to the case diameter of 39 mm, the Orient Flusso RA-BB0206E30B can be an excellent choice for both men and women and is generally an interesting option for anyone looking for a distinctive mechanical watch with quality craftsmanship and a reference to the brand's history.
The limited edition is restricted to 1,500 pieces for the European market only.
