This so-called civilian variant of the military multitool is invaluable equipment for civilian shooters, but also for military professionals. At over 317 grams of steel, the multitool carries 16 tools. In addition to the traditional multi-tool pliers, it offers steel wire rope pliers with interchangeable blades and crimping electrician's pliers. Of course, there is a knife with combined blade made of 420HC steel and a saw. A V-shaped cutting hook is also hidden under the massive hammer at the end of the tool for easy cutting of straps.

But the main strength of the Leatherman MUT multitool is the aforementioned firearms maintenance tools: a tool for stuck cartridge cases, a carbon scraper (made of bronze, so there's no risk of scratching gun components), a cleaning brush adapter, a gun disassembly tool and a large bit adapter. All tools are rated for standard military and civilian materials, so you should have no problem disassembling and cleaning virtually any firearm. The tool can be further upgraded with additional components such as replacement bits. The handy case is adapted to this and can also hold spare parts or a wrench for changing tools.
